The habitable surface is not mentioned in the final act

The exact habitable space of a home is not explicitly mentioned in the French sales contract. At least not for houses, there are different rules that apply to apartments.

So whether the house is 180 m² or only 140 m², there is no actual mention of this in the sales contract.

And yet, it is so important to know what the exact habitable space is of a property. Because that is what ultimately determines the price.

Very often, the number of square metres mentioned in the ad is no more than an indication and it could very well be different from reality. This may not be a problem at the time of purchase, but it will be in the future when you want to sell the house again.
